As someone who has been through a few APO/SCM implementations, and then got sidetracked in MM/SD for a while, this was a good book to remind me of how it all hangs together, and also points out some of the theoretical strengths of APO/SCM as a planning tool. At the start it sounded a bit theoretical, and only towards the end did it seem like the Author had also got his hands dirty doing some implementations. Would have been good at the start for the author to list what implementations he was involved with. It only covers some of the modules, such as DP and SNP (possibly a few more, was a few months back I read it), but I got a lot out of it, and for me it was well worth getting. It reminds the reader that APO is a very powerful tool if set up well, and if you can tranfer that belief to the users who end up using it.
